The Old Town Quarry

The Old Town Quarry is a magical place of unrivalled natural  beauty and tranquility.

Marvel at the peregrines, chase butterflies, encounter foxes or study wild flora.

Or simply enjoy a restful cup of tea at the cafe, which has seating both inside and out. A log fire or the summer sun, this is somewhere for all seasons.

At night, The Old Town Quarry becomes a more mysterious place, the cafe is in candlelight and the space outside can seem other-worldly, dramatic.  In short, the perfect Liminal setting.

Dr Fox's Tearoom, Knightstone Island

Dr Fox's takes its name from the Bristol Physician, Dr Edward Long Fox, who bought Knightstone Island in 1828, before spending £20,000 to improve the development.

After many years and many different uses, including a swimming pool and opera theatre, Knightstone Island fell into disrepair.

In July 2007 after a £20million redevelopment, the Island was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen, with a mix of luxury homes and commercial units.

Dr Fox's Tearoom occupies an enviable position at the harbour head of the Island, opening 7 days a week, with comfy sofas and beautiful surroundings.  The tearoom offers free WiFi, stunning views and incredible sunsets.
